From a terrible personal experience
Even if the above arguments do not apply to you, I will give the most important one – safety! You emergency brake – the dog from the back seat flies into the windshield or towards the gear shift. God knows that she can break herself, and you too. You emergency brake when turning – the dog flies through one of the doors and can also be injured. And finally. the worst of my experience. 2 years ago we went to an exhibition in Riga and had a terrible accident, crashed into a trailer with an excavator in the dark, blocking the road at a speed of about 90 km / h. Then, a few minutes later, a car pulled into us at full speed behind us. About us – a separate story, but the dogs were sitting in two cages in the back seat.Of course, the cells fell apart, started from the first blow and completely finished with the second. BUT! Dogs remained alive, healthy, without a single scratch! What a blessing it was! I don’t even want to imagine that they would be just sitting in the back seat.
I dare to hope – convinced. Good luck on the road!
Little notes
1. Choose a box so that the dog can lie comfortably in it and, if desired, stand up and roll over on its other side. The usual sizes of such spaniel boxes are -50, w-40, d-70cm and the names may contain the number “4”.
2. If the distance between the front and rear backs of the seats is significantly greater than the width of the box, then fasten the box as cargo on the trunk with rubber bands with iron hooks at the ends, making loops on the headrests of the front and rear seats, and hook the hooks on the box openings.
