English cocker spaniel

English Cocker Spaniel – English Cocker Spaniel, differs from the American Cocker Spaniel in size (up) and the shape of the head, somewhat different in body shape. This is a medium sized dog, strong. With strong muscles and a beautiful head. The ears of the Cocker Spaniels are long, covered with silky hair. The tail is located just below the line of the back, the dog keeps it flush with the back, docked about half. The head is attractive, the profile muzzle is rectangular, the nose with wide nostrils. Cocker Spaniel has a sharp scent.

The dog has big eyes, the color of the eyes of a cocker spaniel is brown, the expression on his eyes is joyful, kind and smart. Sometimes it seems that they understand, perceive human speech. They love to listen to the owners, tilting their heads slightly to the side and not looking up in the eye as soon as they are addressed. Height at withers 38 – 41 cm, weight on average 12 – 16 kg. The coat is densely adjoining, as if silk, slightly wavy, but not curly. The color of English cockers: black, chocolate, red and fawn, sometimes with white tan, occasionally come across three-color colors – especially appreciated: chocolate-white-roan, black-white-roan. In principle, any color.

English Cocker Spaniel has a good character. This is a very agile dog, friendly, yet it treats strangers with distrust. She loves to play with the hosts, loves participation and is very jealous. Cocker cannot be offended, and even if punished, he does not conceal malice. Great voracity is genetically embedded in dogs, so cocker spaniels must be ruthlessly limited in food. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, because the look of the dog at the moment when it asks you to eat, can pity the most strict person.

The food, as these dogs imagine it, is all that can be eaten, from cucumbers and bananas to mussels. Cocker Spaniel is intolerant and mercilessly pursuing small game (pigeons, crows, hens), sometimes he gets angry, angry at airplanes in the sky. With cats, with proper upbringing, the cocker is indifferent, and sometimes even tries to play with them.
